If you saw a purple apple
You probably didn’t pick it up
The purple apple is a very odd apple
In a tree way high up!

         But I bet you never thought,
That that purple apple has feelings
It wants to be picked off the tree
For the use of cooking and peeling

         The purple apple, though,
Has an excellent taste,
It makes the best apple pie
And a great apple paste

         So next time you go to the orchard
And see that purple apple in the tree,
Pick it up! It will be good for it, you
And especially me to eat!
