“Wishing I Were Fishing”

I’m in English class now reading a book,
but I wish I were catching a fish on my hook.

While in Bible class, I’m studying God’s Word.
I imagine the splash of a fish I just heard.

Now I’m in math getting my work done.
I wish I were out on the lake having fun.

I’m in science now studying the atmosphere,
but I’m dreaming of buying some new ice fishing gear.

Now I’m in health class studying my best,
wishing I were fishing with my 12-pound test.

I’m in my last class reading World Studies,
dreaming about fishing with all of my buddies.
