“Magnolia Tree”

Magnolia tree in the spring,
leaves green, flowers blossoming.
Outside my house, I see the tree,
slightly swaying beautifully.

It’s summer now. Spring is gone,
but the tree still stands outside my lawn.
The flowers have left, the leaves are still green.
Strong it remains, but better days it has seen.

Summer is gone. Autumn is here.
Leaves are browning, dying, I fear.
The days grow colder as time goes by.
I see the tree sway and let out a sigh.

It’s finally winter, the most grim season of all.
No leaves, no flowers, colder than fall.
The tree stays strong knowing what’s to come.
Its branches will grow and no longer be numb.

Spring again! My favorite season of all.
A light breeze passes, and birds gently call.
Outside my house, I see the tree,
slightly swaying beautifully.
