“Earth's Fate”

The future of the earth, I wonder what it holds,
I won’t be able to tell until I’m a hundred years old.
But I have an imagination that I’m able to use,
let’s start with the sky and its beautiful blue hues.

Will the sky be dark and filled with pollution,
or will it stay light with its colorful cool fusion?
Will it change to different colors, possibly green or red,
or will we run out of oxygen and all be dead?

Will earth become too crowded so we move to a different place?
Maybe a new planet, deep in outer space.
Will our technology advance so we can fly to Mars,
or take our vacations on nearby stars?

Will earth be taken over by a zombie horde?
Maybe we’ll be ruled by an alien overlord.
Will glaciers melt and ocean levels rise?
Animals might become endangered and eventually die.

I have so many questions that I want to ask,
answering them is quite an impossible task.
People keep saying patience is the key,
I’ll just have to take their advice, sit and see.

The future of the earth, I wonder what it holds,
I won’t be able to tell until I’m a hundred years old.
I’ll just have to sit by the clock and wait,
I can only imagine Earth’s future fate.
