You don’t see her shadow.
You don’t feel her pain.
She can’t see the sun.
All she can see is the rain.

She wants to scream
And wants to be free,
But to her that is just another dream.
She is invisible to everyone else.

The only word she knows is “mean”.
She can’t speak.
On others she is afraid to lean.

She doesn’t love, nor does she trust.
Her heart is full
Of fear’s thrust.

She wants to grow. She wants to bloom,
But she stays quiet, fearing the world,
From the back of the classroom.
