What about the people under our knees?
We walk right past them,
we worry a lot about people overseas.

Whenever we see them, we flee.
All they want are a few coins,
we worry a lot about people overseas.

What about the people under our knees?
We don’t have donation boxes for them,
all they want is to pay back a couple housing fees.

We worry a lot about people overseas.
We give them food and shelter,
but what about the people under our knees?

They would do good deeds.
All they need is some guidance,
we worry a lot about people overseas.

All they’re asking is just please,
a quarter, a dollar––it’s right there in your wallet.
Don’t get me wrong, we should worry about people overseas,
but what about the people under our knees?
