There are times when only a mother’s love
can understand our tears,
can soothe our disappointments
and calm our fears.
There are times when only a mother’s love
can share the joy when we feel down
and when we’ve dreamed about something
that is not quite real.
There are times when only a mother’s faith
can help us in life
and place within us the confidence
we need from day to day.
For a mother’s heart, a mother’s faith, and a mother’s hard love
were fashioned by angels and sent from God above.
