Too much homework to do
in the little amount of time I have.
Just when I believe I have completed the last worksheet,
I find another at the bottom of the pile!

It is ten o’clock and here I sit.
I’m surprised this computer hasn’t quit!
I want this poem to be perfect,
but tired eyes just want to shut!

Homework never seems to end,
because my teachers are convinced
that homework...
        is my best friend!
