Coming into the world brought my parents joy
I was full of joy
One day that joy turned to pain
On that cold winter day
The car began to slide
Suddenly Bang! Crash! Sigh!
My mother just died
My Uncle didn’t see us pulling out of the drive
He didn’t stop fast enough so my mother could dive
Dive out of the way to avoid being hit
We were rushed to the hospital
I was permanently injured and suffered pain
Yet, I continue to remember mother’s name.
“Tiffany” is what I cry out when I am struggling
She continues to give me strength when I’m weak
Her memory helps me continue to reach
Higher goals in school and out
With my mom by my side
I will never doubt.
