Hope is a wonderful thing
Like when a baby bird spreads his wings,
When it takes off from its small tree
And gracefully flies, giving everyone glee,
When its soft feather dances in the air
And lands on a child’s lap with care,
And giving another smile of hope, another smile to share,
That child will share that smile everywhere,
Spreading that wonderful thing,
Showing hope can sometimes come with wings.
